Welcome to Canadian National Alpaca Sale & Futurity - Stud Service Auction, a website that lets you bid on Stud Services to the Premier Alpaca Sires in Canada.
Proceeds of the auction go towards prize money for the upcoming Canadian National Alpaca Futurity to be held in Red Deer, AB - April 2011
We hope to surpass last year's proceeds of $77,000!!
Users must be registered in order to place a bid. To register, you must provide your name, farm name, an address, and your email address. You must be 18 years or older.
All times displayed are in Central Time, but the auction "ENDS WITHIN:" that displays on each animals bid page is the same no matter what time zone you are in. This year we are putting the Hersdires into 4 groups with 4 different closing times on November 30.
Group 1 will end at 8:15pm MST (7:15 PST, 9:15 CST, 10:15 EST, 11:15 AST)
Group 2 will end at 8:30pm MST (7:30 PST, 9:30 CST, 10:30 EST. 11:30 AST)
Group 3 will end at 8:45pm MST (7:45 PST, 9:45 CST, 10:45 EST. 11:45 AST)
Group 4 will end at 9:00pm MST (8:00 PST, 9:00 CST, 11:00 EST, 12:00 AST)
Payment will be required at the close of bidding.
Winners are notified by email when the auction is concluded. If a winner exists, the winner and seller are provided each other's contact information.
All further arrangements must be between the buyer and the donor of the service.
NOTE:These Stud services are for the 2011 breeding season and are only available to female alpacas that are resident in Canada.
The nominated Studs must receive a minimum bid of $1000 by the close of the Auction to be subscribed to the futurity. If the minimum bid is not received, the Stud owner can make the minimum bid themselves in order to subscribe their stud.
All offspring of subscribed Studs, born between April 18, 2009 and Nov 15, 2010 are eligible for the futurity.
If the minimum final bid of $1000 is not reached the stud owner is not required to supply a breeding for that price and no payment will be made by the bidder to the CNASF.
The Suri representation at the Futurity has been dwindling each year and so we have added the following new rule:
There must be a minimum of 3 Suri Studs that are nominated and receive the minimum $1000 bid or Suri bids will not be collected and stud services will not be supplied. There will also be no Suri classes at the 2011 Futurity unless this minimum is reached.
** New for all successful bidders, the cria resulting from the breedings purchased in the auction are eligible for the futurity as JUVENILES ONLY even if the studs are not nominated the following year.
